Ford Figo Aspire launched in India – Autoportal.com

The Ford Figo Aspire is the first compact sedan from the Ford India. The sub-4 metre sedan segment is a fast growing segment in the Indian market. The Figo Aspire will compete with the already established cars like the Swift Dzire, the Tata Zest, the Hyundai Xcent and the Honda Amaze. The Figo Aspire unveiled during the 2014 Indian auto show has been launched on 12th August 2015.

Competitive prices

The Ford Aspire comes in 9 variants, two engine, 2 transmission and 2 fuel options in trims of the Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium+. The 1.5 VCT AT petrol variant has automatic transmission. The Aspire is priced Rupees 4.90 to 8.25 lakh which is competitive in the segment.

Stylish exteriors

The sporty body of the Aspire based on the hatchback Figo has a chrome accented hexagonal grille, swept back type head lamps and two prominent vertical lines on the hood. Other features on the body include a strong belt line from A to C pillars, D shaped tail lamp clusters and a chrome strip running across the width of the boot cover.

Comfortable interiors

The spacious cabin of the Figo Aspire has a lot of comfort features. The standard features include a manual AC, tilt steering adjustment, fabric seats, frontal power windows and black internally adjustable ORVMs. The top variants have an automatic AC, leather seats, electric body coloured ORVMs with turn indicators and 2 Din music systems with digital display and Bluetooth connectivity. The MyFord Dock provided aids storing, charging mobile phones, MP3 players and Satellite Navigation system.

Safety system

The safety features of even the base variants include 2 air bags, power steering, an engine immobiliser and child lock facilities. The top variants have 6 air bags, ABS, EBD and a rear defogger additionally.

Top mileages

The Figo Aspire give good mileages. The 1.2L petrol engines give mileages of 18.16 kmpl and the 1.5L petrol engines 17 kmpl. The 1.5L diesel engines have mileages of 25.83 kmpl.

Ride comfort

The suspensions of McPherson strut at the front and the semi-independent torsion beams at the rear along with a large ground clearance of 174 mm help in achieving comfortable rides.
